I hate when queer people use the word “faggot” like it’s no big deal and claim that “it’s like when black people call each other the N word”. That is so dumb. I don’t want to be called a word so ugly and derogatory, not even by my friends, not even jokingly, not even by other queer folk. It makes me nauseous. There’s no reason why my distaste for the word should offend other LGBT people.
